Job description

Dexian has immediate opportunities available with a premier aerospace manufacturer of spacecraft, components and instruments for national defense, civil space, and commercial space applications. Our customer is hiring Deskside Specialists who will respond to customer requests for assistance with computer software and hardware issues.

The Deskside Specialist will:

• Provide troubleshooting for software and installation of software.
  
• Troubleshoot networking issues - LAN and Wireless
  
• Troubleshoot network and voice-related issues, repair personal computer and peripheral equipment problems to the board, device or component levels as appropriate.
  
• Receive equipment and conduct inventory.
  
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within organization and interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  
• Perform other duties as necessary.
  

REQUIRED SKILLS:

• Intermediate knowledge of PC software and networking: classes and/or experience.
  
• Intermediate understanding of Desktop/Laptop PC Hardware and components.
  
• Intermediate to Advanced understanding of Windows 7 and 10 desktop operating systems.
  
• Advanced understanding of Windows Office 365 Pro Plus suite.
  
• Ability to support Apple iPhones.
  
• Experience with Service Now or other trouble ticketing tools.
  
• Ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate simultaneous tasks/projects.
  
• Ability to perform job functions with little direct supervision.
  
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
  
• Ability to operate company owned vehicles as required. Must maintain a valid driver's license and good motor vehicle record.
  

This position requires a Department of Defense security clearance at the Top Secret/Special Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) level.

EDUCATION:

• Deskside Specialist I - High School diploma or equivalent plus 4 years or more related experience or a related 2-year technical degree and 2 years or more related experience.
  

• Deskside Specialist II - High School diploma or equivalent plus 6 years or more related experience or a related 2-year technical degree and 4 years or more related experience.
  

Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor's or Master's, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.

ON-SITE WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position requires working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible locations may be required.

COMPENSATION:

This is a three to six (3-6) months Right to Hire opportunity and Dexian reasonably expects to offer the Deskside Specialist I: $23.56/hr - $31.13/hr and the Deskside Specialist II: $28.13/hr - $36.00/hr for the duration of the assignment. Should an offer be extended, full-time salary will be negotiated at the end of the contract. should an offer be extended.
