Responsibilities: This position is responsible for all operational and leadership efforts of their assigned community for the length of their assignment . This includes developing revenue, controlling expenses, compliance with all regulatory standards, and communicating with Distinctive Living leadership on all appropriate matters.

• Acts as Executive Director in senior living communities where this position is vacant and/or requires additional support. Responsible for overall management of the community, staff, financials and well-being of residents.
• This position reports to the VP of Operations and works closely with VPs of Sales and Clinical to ensure operational, sales and clinical compliance, success and growth.
• Assists in the recruitment and retention of qualified staff and in the development and maintenance of a positive and supportive team atmosphere. May interview and recommend hiring qualified associates.
• Provides assistance in the areas of marketing, outreach, resident admissions, resident assessments and discharge procedures.
• May assist with and/or conduct associate performance reviews as an Operations Specialist.
• May assess the training needs for staff, and provide training as needed.
• May assist in the resolution of budget discrepancies and variances.
• Works to resolve issues identified by residents and/or their family members.

• Responsible for the financial performance of the community, operating within the approved budget, meeting and ideally exceeding established performance outcomes and company targeted operating income.
• Foster a strong, cohesive team environment that builds confidence and strong morale among staff and high staff retention.
• Build positive service-focused relationships with residents of the community, their families, and staff members.
• Ensure compliance with state and other government regulations.
• Hire, develop and retain high quality multi-functional teams.

Qualifications : The ideal candidate will be a team player that enjoys challenges, is professional, upbeat, and encourages others to succeed.

• Sales skills: Experience overseeing sales with significant accomplishments in building a customer service experience. Understands the sales process from generating prospects, using analytics & closing agreements.
• Financial Acumen : Nimble in managing both top-line results and expense control. Strategically manage pricing to consistently accomplish business goals.
• Operational Strength: Demonstrates operational excellence by applying company standards while holding the team accountable. Has experience successfully managing volatile business cycles and operations and consistently delivering results/outcomes.

Requirements :

• Valid New Jersey Certified Assisted Living Administrator (CALA) and Core Trained in Florida is strongly preferred
• Ability to obtain licensure and/or NAB in other states as required
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Executive Director in assisted living or memory support community
• Must have a valid driver license.
• Position is 100% travel, must be able to travel to assigned community, potentially overnight if the assignment requires.

Education: Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred .
