Title: Buyer - Food Manufacturing Industry
Location: Fairfield, CT - ON-SITE
Salary: $60,000-$75,000 - Depending on Experience
Requirements: 3+ years in Supply Chain, CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods), Ingredients/Food, Purchasing

What You Will Be Doing

You will be responsible for commodity planning, supplier selection, negotiating and purchase order management of a diverse product portfolio, ensuring that our operational needs are met, taking into consideration price, quality, delivery, and sustainability. You will develop and execute the commodity supply plan, manage internal customer service expectations, and ensure supply continuity in a timely and efficient manner. 

Other responsibilities include:
- Manage purchase orders for assigned commodities to ensure timely delivery of materials to manufacturing plants.
- Develop an optimized supply base and buy plan to support customer service and manage inventory.
- Provide spending and price variance analysis for assigned commodities.
- Continuously asses supplier base for quality, delivery, cost, technology, sustainability, and risk management.
- Analyze markets and commodity indices to understand drivers of cost.
- Assist with ERP system development, utilization, and refinement.

What You Need for this Position

- 3+ years as a Supply Chain Buyer, CPG industry highly desired
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain or related fields strongly preferred
- Food/Beverage Manufacturing, Materials, Ingredients experience needed
- Ability to handle pricing, cost/risk management, and Supplier relations
- Familiarity with purchasing of: Boxes, bags, string, tags/menus/labels - Coffee and Tea is a plus
- Ability to work in Fairfield, CT - Headquarters 5 days a week On-Site (10 - WFH days throughout the year)
- ERP experience, excellent communication and cross-functional department comfortability
