Job description

ATCC is seeking a Senior Project Coordinator based on-site 5 days/wk in Gaithersburg, MD. The Senior Project Coordinator will work under ATCC's Peoject NextGen initiative, and will be responsible for the coordination and completion of tasks under Project NextGen. They are responsible for developing project plans, scheduling and tracking tasks, and ensuring that milestones are completed within budget and on time. 

 

The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for coordinating meetings between team members, internal and external clients, and other stakeholders as needed to ensure effective communication, as well as managing and updating project documentation such as work plans, schedules, and status reports. They are also responsible for preparing reports, attending meetings, recording and disseminating minutes. 

  1. Monitor small to medium size projects or phases of a larger project from initiation through delivery, applying organizational policies and procedures including planning, directing, scheduling, and monitoring of budget and spending. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor the progress of the project.
  2. Prepare and assess project plans, document project progress, and prepare reports for internal and external project stakeholders and Senior Management.
  3. Review project requirements, identify interdependencies with internal and external departments or service providers, delegate responsibilities, and ensure that work is completed. Elevate delays or concerns to project management team.
  4. Examine project proposals, ensure projects adhere to the contract language, and deliver and track project amendment documentation.
  5. Provide technical support including project scheduling and planning, earned value management, budget review/cost analysis, and change of scope impact analysis.
  6. Organize and prepare for departmental or cross-functional meetings, focused on delivering new or upgrading existing products and services.
  7. Organize and determine tasks and provide professional administrative support to one or more project teams.
  8. Maintain documentation such as contracts, invoices, or payment records.
  9. Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
