Job description

Our company is actively seeking a talented Senior Qlik Developer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Qlik Developer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients, contributing to business intelligence projects, and designing/developing cutting-edge analytical applications. This is a remote position, with occasional travel to client sites for collaboration and engagement.

Qualifications:

Qlik Sense Certification (Preferred)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related qualification

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Qlik Developer, you will be responsible for the following:

Lead business intelligence projects, design and develop analytical applications, and perform data analysis/data modeling for Qlik dashboards.
Architect data to ensure optimal performance, demonstrating creativity, innovation, and resourcefulness.
Understand the complete data analytics stack and workflow, from ETL to data platform design to BI and analytics tools.
Utilize extensive knowledge and experience with large-scale database technology (e.g., RedShift, BigQuery, Synapse, Vertica, Netezza, Exadata, Teradata, Greenplum, etc.).
Develop semantic models and reports using common BI or data exploration tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, Oracle BI, Cognos, MicroStrategy, Business Objects, etc.).
Create written documentation for all software systems, providing new users with a guide on how to operate them.
Hands-on experience with Qlik development, dashboarding, and data modeling techniques.
Conduct data integration through ETL processes from various sources.
Efficiently handle front-end development, adhering to visualization best practices.
Evaluate and analyze business needs, designing solution alternatives based on available data.
Construct and integrate Qlik and other data visualization solutions.
Support data validation, testing, and peer reviews.
Implement solutions through the development of technical and user documentation, user training, and ad-hoc support.
Leverage project management software for efficient project delivery, requirements tracking, and bug resolution.
Contribute to the documentation of business processes, practices, and standards, following agile development methodology.

Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related qualification.
Experience implementing ETL/ELT data pipelines using custom (JavaScript, Python, PL/SQL, T-SQL, etc.) and packaged tools (e.g., Qlik Replicate, Informatica, DataStage, Talend, Pentaho, StreamSets, Matillion, FiveTran, etc.).
Strong skills in databases, data warehouses, data modeling, and data processing.
Experience with DevOps, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD methods and tools.
Experience with Qlik Mashups, APIs, and third-party Qlik extensions, including Vizlib.
Experience with Qlik GeoAnalytics.
Experience with Web technologies.
Experience with star schema to build repositories, develop subject areas, and apply security, including group access and query privileges at object and data levels.
Qlik Data Architect and/or Qlik System Administration Certification.
