Job description
Job Summary:
Front Desk Agents at The Foundry Hotel Asheville, Curio Collection are responsible for providing excellent customer service to all guests at the front desk. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for guests, handling check-ins and check-outs, answering phone calls, and responding to guest inquiries and requests. The Front Desk Agent will also be responsible for ensuring smooth operations of the front desk and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
Compensation & Benefits:
This is a full-time, hourly position with competitive pay and benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and hotel discounts.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests in a warm and friendly manner
- Check guests in and out of the hotel efficiently and accurately
- Handle cash and credit card transactions
- Answer phone calls and assist with guest inquiries and requests
- Inform guests about hotel services, amenities, and local attractions
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the front desk and lobby area
- Promote and maintain a positive image of the hotel at all times
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
- Follow all hotel policies and procedures
- Work cohesively with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience in a hotel or restaurant setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Knowledgeable about the local area and attractions
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
