Job description
Position: Youth Counselor
Location: Bronx, NY (Morrisania Section)
Dept: Family Scattered Site Program
Schedule: Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm
Hourly Rate: $24
Overview: The youth counselor will be under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor and provide direct care to families with children within the scattered-site program.
Requirements:
-Master's Degree in Social work or related field
-2 years of experience working with youth or substance abuse, mental illness and Supportive Housing setting
-Proof of Full Covid-19 Vaccination
Responsibilities:
-Provide individualized assessments of the children's biological, educational, psychological and social
needs.
-Engage in collateral visits with health professionals, school personnel, and make necessary referrals
-Coordinate activities designed to meet the individual needs of children (e.g., infant stimulation, toddler
training, teen programs, after-school programming, parent/child interactions
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: $ 24.00 Per Hour
