EVS Technician

Description:

• Performing cleaning of equipment, hospital rooms and ancillary departments while following established procedures.
• Determines cleaning materials to be used and follows established procedures to ensure all chemicals are applied correctly.
• Washing furniture, tile and equipment with cleaning solutions.
• Cleaning, disinfecting and polishing sinks, tubs, toilets, mirrors and showers.
• Disinfecting walls, vents and spot cleaning windows.
• Dusting, mopping and vacuuming floors. Shampooing carpets and upholstery. Moving furniture and equipment around and replacing once done cleaning.
• Communicating effectively with patients, doctors, nurses and other hospital administration - will be cleaning rooms which are occupied along with discharges and isolation areas.
• Collecting bio-hazardous waste and transporting waste to holding areas for disposal.
• Removing soiled linen and non-infectious waste from patient rooms and other areas of the medical center as outlined in departmental procedures.
• Must be able to lift and move 25-50 pounds (Desk, chairs, etc), but most of the time they have to just move the cleaning equipment.

EVS technician, Environmental services, custodian, janitor, Sanitizing, Trash/linens, Vacuuming, Waste transportation

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

• Must have at least 6 months of housekeeping, janitorial, or custodian experience.
• Must be able to work weekends.
• Floor care experience is a plus.

Location:

Thousand Oaks, CA

Pay:

$20.00-$22.00/HR

You will be paid every single Wednesday!

Shift:

2nd shift - 3:00pm-11:30pm

Rotating schedule. Will be given schedule two weeks in advance.
