D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Paralegal for their Corporate Legal Department. The right candidate will work as part of a team to provide legal and administrative support to Corporate and Securities Counsel and Corporate Secretary. This is a professional position that supports all levels of management, including our Executives and Board of Directors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Draft Board and Corporate Resolutions
· Prepare and Distribute Board of Directors Materials Quarterly
· Participate in Compliance and Filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission and NYSE
· Entity Formation and Maintenance and related State Filings
· Entity Annual Reports and Assumed Name Filings with States
· Maintain Corporate Records and Minute Book Filings
· Administrative and Clerical Support as needed
*Education and/or Experience *
We are looking for a team player that can take instruction, is resourceful, likes to learn and has a “no job too big, no job too small” attitude. We will train if not experienced in certain legal areas. The below qualifications are necessary.
· 3 years of related experience and/or training
· Proficient in MS Off Applications – Word and beginner Excel
· Excellent Communication Skills – Written and Verbal
· Detail Oriented and Highly Organized
· Positive Attitude and Proactive Problem solver
· Reliable Attendance (we do provide some flexibility)
· Ability to Work Occasional Overtime
