ROLE OVERVIEW
This position directs the receipt and shipment of finished goods to and from Kwik Lok Corporation, and ensures shipments are filled in an accurate, efficient and safe manner. This position upholds the Kwik Lok Corporation philosophies through dedication to continuing improvement of quality, food safety, integrity and hard work.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND RESULTS
- Works with all production departments, including but not limited to:
- Order entry
- Extrusion
- Slitting
- Food Safety Team
- Proactively inspects workspace for any errors, damages, or repairs needed
- Performs checks of shipping equipment to ensure safe operations. Monitors equipment for issues that may pose food safety or safety concerns
- Reviews all sales orders prior to shipping (quantity match, ship dates, product accuracy)
- Inspects incoming vehicles for cleanliness and signs of possible contamination of received product, and outgoing loads of product being sent to customers
- Segregates non-conforming material and label so as not to be mixed with conforming product
- Completes daily logs and paperwork (emails, checklists, quotes)
- Completes RPOs in ERP system to finish Sales Orders and get product to the customer
- Leaves the warehouse clean, organized and ready for the next shift
- Aids in resolution of customer complaints per EB 7.5 and GFSI requirements
- Offers to help other production departments during downtime
- Assists in streamlining processes, making recommendations that allow for increased productivity
- Possess In-depth knowledge of company production practices and GFSI food safety requirements
- Follows all company established policies and GFSI food safety and quality guidelines and procedures
- Performs additional functions as assigned for the good of the organization
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Education requirements: High School Diploma
- Years of experience: at least 1 year of experience in shipping and/or receiving
- Skills required: Forklift 1-5 years of experience, forklift certified a plus
- Knowledge required: Processing parcel and LTL shipments, export documentation, performing spot quotes, experience with ERP systems a plus
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background screening

ALL THE DETAILS…
- Compensation: $18.00 – 21.87/hour commensurate with experience
- Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm
- Insurance Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription, Life and Disability Insurance plans (60 day waiting period)
- Retirement Benefits: 401K Plan with company match (90 day waiting period - restrictions apply)
- Paid Time Off: (90 day waiting period, prorated for first year)
- Vacation : 120 hours a year, with increases based on years of service
- Holidays : 70 hours a year (8.5 days): 1 Floating Holiday, New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and the Friday following, half day on Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day
- Sick Leave : 40 hours a year, accrued at 1 hour per 40 hours worked for hourly employees, salary employees prorated for first year
- Other Compensation : Employees may be eligible for annual performance bonuses
- Location : Yakima, Washington
- Work Environment : Manufacturing facility – noise level 85-95 dB, lifting to 60 lbs., intermittent physical activity. Constantly hearing, seeing and talking
