Geomet is seeking to fill a metal buyer position within our commercial accounts team. This position will be responsible for cultivating and building relationships within the DFW’s manufacturers and independent contractors that produce metal recyclables.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for building your own book of business to lead the effort in growing the Industrial Account department.
• Acts as the key interface between clients and all internal departments.
• Responsible for structuring client proposals strategically with our commercial team.
• Participate and join local area industry groups and Chamber of Commerce events relating to the manufacturing industry.

Required Experience:  

• At least three years of previous experience in scrap metal sales/purchasing.
• Knowledge of non-ferrous/ferrous metals
• A proven track record of cultivating relationships and clientele growth
• Articulate communicator, professional appearance and experienced negotiator
• Must be Proficient in MS Office programs Word, Excel, Outlook and an understanding of using a CRM. 

While travel may be required in special circumstances, the DFW area itself has a vast pool of opportunities for you.
