Job description
Supports Commander, Naval Air Force Atlantic (CNAL) Military Operations Center (MOC) by normalizing and analyzing data, organizing, and documenting findings of studies, and prepare recommendations for implementing new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. Collates information into meaningful tools and reports. Develop and analyze monthly metrics data, review and analysis geared toward improving business processes. Performs data management of database tables, data elements, reports, and other entities contained in reporting systems. Analyzes project requirements including program scheduling, critical path analyses and project support/resource requirement determination. Fully participates in impact studies, cost/benefit analyses, dependency models, and employs appropriate project tracking methodologies.
- Experience collecting, aggregating, normalizing and standardizing aviation data to improve efficiencies accomplishing work and to create visualizations for leadership analysis.
- Experience using MS Platform Tools and troubleshooting the tools with the development team.
- Experience with Naval Aviation databases and data analysis tools to include OOMA and DECKPLATE, Continuous Monitoring Program (CMP), Aviation Management Supply and Readiness Reporting (AMSRR), Tableau Data Visualization and ADVANA/Jupiter.
- Knowledge of at least one of the following technologies: Tableau, Qlik, or PowerBI, and familiar enough to develop basic charts.
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis leveraging aforementioned platforms and collaborate on corrective action analysis.
- Ability to generate professional content for MS PowerPoint briefs that are shared fleet-wide (to include Flag-Level Leadership)
- Proven to be detail oriented and possess excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline from an accredited college or university
- May require availability outside of normal business hours for staff support
- Secret clearance
A Journeyman level person has 3 to 15 years of experience and a BA/BS degree in a related field. A Journeyman level person typically performs all functional duties independently. 6 years additional work experience in a related field may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree. Associate’s Degree plus 4 years additional work experience in a related field may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Work toward a master’s degree in related discipline from an accredited college or university is to be considered favorably.
- Experience as a Naval Aviation Maintenance Administrationman (AZ) or a Logistics Specialist (LS) Logistics Manager or Logistician is useful, not required.
- Experience with the use of SharePoint 2013/2016/2019/O365 site collections
