We are s eeking a System Integration Engineer who will:
- Actively manage enterprise computer systems and networks, analyzing technical issues, and developing and implementing corrective actions.
- Observe and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure.
- Translate user requests into technical diagnoses, then apply diagnoses to develop technical solutions to meet user needs.
- Develop strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture/technology with minimal impact.
- Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.
Position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance. US citizenship is required.
Position Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree plus 5-years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 3-years of relevant experience or an Associate's degree plus 4-years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 8-years of relevant experience may be considered.
- Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
- Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development, programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering. Additionally, must have experience in network or system administration.
- Strong Linux experience
- Experience in systems/network administration, application administration, and/or information technology support or management.
- Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers and network infrastructure.
- Experience setting up storage such as network‐attached storage.
- Experience implementing security best practices to include PKI certificate generation, deployment and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C
Position Desired Skills:
- Experience deploying and maintaining nginx
- Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with SELinix and FIPS
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 year of
relevant experience, or a Doctoral degree and no experience. The following may also be considered
for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position: an Associate's degree
plus 7 years of relevant experience; or at least 18 semester hours of military coursework/training in
networking, computer science, or cyber topics plus 7 years of relevant experience. - Degree must be in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related
field (e.g., General Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science,
Computer Forensics, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Information Assurance, or Computer
Security). - Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design/development,
programming, information/cyber/network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing,
computer forensics, information assurance and/or systems engineering. Additionally, must have
experience in network or system administration. If not credited toward education requirement,
completion of military training in a relevant area such as JCAC (Joint Cyber Analysis course),
Undergraduate Cyber Training (UCT), Network Warfare Bridge Course (NWBC)/Intermediate Network
Warfare Training (INWT), Cyber Defense Operations will be considered towards the relevant
experience requirement (i.e., 20-24 weeks course will count as 6 months of experience, 10-14 weeks
will count as 3 months of experience).
