Position Purpose:

To manage the workflow and data for UGAR programs and to coordinate administrative, financial, and logistical functions of UGAR and UGAR programs.

Required Qualifications - Education and Yrs Exp:

Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

Experience

  • 5 or more years of program coordination/office administration experience, or the equivalent.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and written and oral communication skills.
  • High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software and database applications.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with financial processes and monitoring budgets.
  • Experience in working with relational databases.
  • Experience in educational institutions.

Description:

Data Management

  • Maintains, monitors and updates UGAR’s complex relational database.
  • Generates reports from the relational database for internal purposes and for senior College administration (e.g. President’s office, Provost, Advancement).
  • Manages workflow and application systems for undergraduate research programs.
  • Assesses systems and processes on an ongoing basis, implementing modifications and improvements as needed.
  • Monitors program budgets, manages student financial transactions and provides financial reporting.
  • Organizes and maintains information systems including shared file server, program websites, and process documentation.

Description:

Department Coordination

  • Serves as initial point of contact for undergraduate research programs, independently managing program email accounts, responding to inquiries and making referrals as appropriate.
  • Coordinates logistics for meetings, program information sessions and related events.
  • Assists with planning and logistics for campus-wide events at which students share their research and scholarly work with the Dartmouth community.
  • Serves as office manager, records manager and liaison to campus offices such as FO&M, Conferences & Events and the Finance Center.
