THE PROGRAM


We're looking for students to join our Internship Program who are obsessively curious about 'what's next'. You'll get hands on experience with our products and learn from the best of the best in the business. You will complete a specific project in 10-12 weeks with us, while integrating into your team. By the time you end your time with us, you will have been given the opportunity to truly make a real impact in the future of Bose and your career!


Opportunities don't stop at your day-to-day work. While you're getting a targeted look at your area of expertise, we'll expose you to other areas of the company. Our interns are given the opportunity to connect with senior leadership across the business to understand different perspectives at Bose. You'll network with other interns and colleagues to grow your network for the future!


Timeframe - June-August 2024



THE ROLE


Bose is seeking an intern to join our research team focused on developing the next generation audio and noise management algorithms. The ideal candidate should have research experience in developing state space estimation algorithms and a good understanding of the modern machine learning and deep learning methods and frameworks. As a research intern you will be working on the next generation system identification problems and developing algorithms at the intersection of machine learning, signal processing and control theory. You will have the opportunity to tackle the challenges of deploying learning algorithms on edge devices and contribute towards the development of optimal hybrid algorithms for low latency applications.



Required Qualifications:

• Must be pursuing a graduate degree in electrical engineering, computer science or similar field of study.
• Strong understanding of the fundamentals of linear algebra, machine learning and applied statistics.
• Strong understanding of the fundamentals of adaptive signal processing and control theory.
• Research experience in one or more of the following areas: temporal deep learning, sequence learning, acoustic echo and noise cancellation, speech enhancement, source detection and tracking, system identification.
• Strong software development skills and experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Python and C++.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or Pytorch.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• First authored publications at peer reviewed conferences and journals in the areas of machine learning and signal processing such as IEEE Transactions, CVPR, ICASSP, ICML, ICLR, Interspeech etc.

Responsibilities

• Contribute towards research and development of novel algorithms.
• Perform research to advance the state of the art in hybrid deep learning models for low latency applications.
• Present findings at internal meetings and related external conference.
