Current Opportunity: Product Management Director
JOB SUMMARY
This role is an essential member of the Celeros FT leadership team and is responsible for positively impacting overall success of the business. This role provides strategic direction, leadership and accountability for product management globally across the Celeros FT product portfolio, including Pumps, Valves and Closures. The individual in this position will work cross-functionally with Executive Leaders, Commercial, Technical and Operational stakeholders to lead the product strategy for the Company’s product offerings. The Product Management Director is responsible for developing and executing short-term tactics and longterm strategies to profitably grow the Celeros FT products / brands globally. The role plans and directs product management initiatives with a focus on increasing customer relevance and achieving long-term strategic objectives. Critical to the success of this role will be the partnership and collaboration across the organization to ensure an understanding, alignment, and commitment with Celeros FT products and offerings, while specifically adapting to regional market requirements. The person in this role will also contribute to developing and maintaining a sustained and long-term continuous improvement culture and an efficient organization that consistently produces improved results while motivating and retaining its employees with high performance standards.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop overall global CelerosFT product strategy and roadmap for OE and AM offerings across markets and regions
Develop and maintain a clear view of the market and competitive landscape for our products, services, and match those to the core-capabilities of the business
Drive the new product development roadmap, also known as multi-generation product plans
Collaborate with R&D, sales, engineering, marketing, manufacturing, and operations to develop product definitions responsive to customer needs and marketing opportunities
Create product specifications defining specific market requirements, including target costs
Manage the existing product portfolio for growth and profitability
Lead product lifecycle management for existing products, including new product introductions and product portfolio rationalization
Own global price setting strategy and coordinate implementation of regional pricing strategies
Define initiatives for product growth and margin improvement to achieve defined product revenue and profitability leveraging product, technology and commercial strategies.
Maintain accountability for driving implementation, managing and/or supporting project teams.
Build the capability of the organization through the execution of a Global Product Training plan
Establish the strategic and operating processes that support the product management function
Build the capability of the product management team
Set challenging, clear, and aligned goals for oneself and team
Drive high performance including celebrating and rewarding successes and addressing under performance in a timely manner
Optimize competence to match present and future needs through training, coaching and recruitment of high caliber talent
Responsible for attracting, developing, retaining and rewarding talent across the organization to ensure bench strength and succession and hold leaders accountable for doing the same throughout the organization
Build a network of effective relationships both internally and externally with business leaders and key customers
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
* New product development process or stage-gate development process • Product strategy and product roadmap development • Product line Profit & Loss (P&L) management and forecasting • Business case development • Strategic product pricing • Product launch and product lifecycle management • Product marketing and channel strategy development • Product value engineering tools and techniques • Team management, cross functional team experience, matrix management experience • Extensive knowledge and proven application of margin drivers, growth plan development and go-tomarket strategies. • Strong English communications skills for technical and commercial aspects, both in speech and writing. • Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. • Attention to detail, flexibility, and ability to collaborate with others through appropriate influencing and negotiation strategies, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent communication, influence, and presentation skills internal and external to the Company.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business development, or related field required
- 10+ years of relevant Product Management experience in flow control equipment in an Engineered-toOrder (ETO) setting required
- 10+ years of management experience in matrixed, multi-brand, global teams
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time
- ERP experience required
Preferred • Master’s degree preferred • SAP experience preferred
