Job description
Job Title: Electrical Engineer - PLC Specialist
Location: Franklin Park, IL
Kelly Engineering is actively seeking a talented and experienced Electrical Engineer with expertise in Programmable Logic Controller for a direct hire position with full benefits. This position will allow you the opportunity to work on a team that specializes in designing custom control enclosures for boilers. Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop custom control enclosures for boilers, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Utilize expertise in Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs to implement effective control solutions for diverse projects.
Configure and program Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs) and become proficient in using burner control modules produced by Siemens.
Employ Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software to create detailed enclosure layouts and wiring diagrams.
Adapt to new CAD software, including potential implementation of C-Plan, for improved efficiency in design processes.
Demonstrate leadership skills and collaborate effectively with shop floor technicians to ensure seamless project execution.
Possess a keen eye for detail and maintain a high standard of quality in all design and programming tasks.
Willingness to travel occasionally, both domestically and potentially internationally, as project requirements dictate.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of three years of relevant experience in PLC programming and control system design.
Proficiency in using CAD software for enclosure layouts and wiring diagrams.
Strong knowledge of UL508A standards and experience with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLCs.
Familiarity with burner control modules, specifically those manufactured by Siemens, is a plus.
Excellent leadership and collaboration skills.
Positive attitude and adaptability to new technologies and processes.
Note: We are open to considering candidates with less experience if they possess the right skills and attitude.
Salary and Benefits:
Target Salary Range: $90,000-$115,000 (negotiable based on experience)
Full benefits package, health, dental, 401K, and PTO.
