Position Summary:
A postdoctoral position (Post-Doctoral Associate) for a systems neuroscientist is available in the laboratory of Dr. Denis Paré, located in the Center for Molecular and Behavioral Neuroscience of Rutgers University-Newark. Dr. Paré's work focuses on understanding the relation between the insular cortex, amygdala, and associated structures during motivated behaviors. The successful candidate will be responsible for experiments involving multi-site unit and local field potential recordings in behaving rats or patch clamp recordings in vitro. Applicants should hold a PhD in Neuroscience or a related area. Proficiency with coding and experience with electrophysiology and optogenetics is required.
Anticipated start date is March 1, 2024. Posting will remain open until position is filled.
