The community you'll be caring for: Sports/Ortho Physical Therapy Patients
Location: 2200 Fowler Grove Blvd, Suite 360, Winter Garden, FL
The role you'll contribute: When you join our team of over 40 Outpatient Clinics across Central Florida, you will be part of a winning team of experts dedicated to whole-person care to help our patients heal, strengthen and renew. We serve patients Orange, Seminole, Osceola, Polk, Volusia, Flagler and Lake Counties with a dedicated Team of therapists, clinicians and staff willing to carry on AdventHealth's mission in the communities we serve.
As a Physical Therapist in an outpatient setting you will provide professional direct and indirect services to specific age groups in the outpatient rehabilitation settings. Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Sports Med and Rehab Department. Accept the responsibility to practice autonomously and collaboratively in all practice environments to provide best practice to the patient/client. Autonomous practice is characterized by independent, self-determined, professional judgment and action.
The value you'll bring to the team: - Actively supports scheduling so that each patient meets the plan of care as agreed upon by the patient and referring physician by adjusting and adapting their own schedule and/or working within the team in order to meet the patients' needs. Willingly adjusts and adapts to changes in patient census by altering working hours to assist in other centers/programs as approved and observed by manager or director
- Determines Physical Therapy Diagnosis and establishes plan of care, make recommendations for referral if treatment needed outside of scope of Physical Therapist practice.
- Assesses patient ability to safely and effectively perform functional mobility skills and evaluate muscle, nerve, joint, and integumentary systems. Designs and implements a treatment plan of care utilizing practice standards and recommended techniques and modalities, insurance guidelines, and patient's needs. Monitors patient's response and progress to treatment and modifies treatment plan as appropriate.
- Documents and charges accurately, completely, and timely using measurable and objective terminology, following standards of practice, insurance guidelines and department/hospital policies and procedures.
- Oversees the care provided by certified physical therapy assistants and therapy technicians, according to established regulations and practice standards.
Qualifications - External The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications: - Licensed in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist, or Temporary State of Florida permit as Physical Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred qualifications: - Previous experience or clinical rotations in an outpatient setting
