Job description
We are seeking a Outpatient Coder for an assignment in Bronx New York.
A medical coder assigns the correct universal medical alphanumeric code to describe the type of service a patient will receive in a hospital or healthcare facility. They help ensure the codes are applied correctly during the medical billing process, which includes removing the information from documentation, assigning the appropriate codes, and creating a claim to be paid by insurance carriers.
Outpatient care may be provided in a hospital, as well as a walk in clinic, an outpatient surgery center, and doctor s offices. These may be diagnostic tests, treatments, or other types of procedures.
