Job description
Under the direction of the Stewarding Manager, the i ncumbent cleans dishes, pots and pans, kitchen areas and utensils.
- Washing, scrubbing or polishing utensils such as pots, pans, trays, silverware and plates.
- Sweeping and mopping kitchen floors and disposing of garbage.
- Loads and unload dish machines.
- Keep dish room organized
- Wash wares in 3 bay sink.
- Cleans and sanitizes kitchen walls, coolers and freezers (both walk-in and reach-in), and ceilings (including air vents and light fixtures).
- Cleans and scrubs the dock and trash areas.
- Cleans and sanitizes kitchen floors and drains in all food and beverage service areas.
- Keep areas stocked including paper towels and soap.
- Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
- Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
- Maintains kitchen area, equipment, and environment to a high caliber of cleanliness and upkeep defined by the deep cleaning scope.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Related experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic kitchen sanitary guidelines and basic dish machine operations preferred.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds.
