Job Summary:
As an Inventory Logistics Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the receiving, processing, and distribution of customer/store damaged, trade-in, and break-out merchandise. Your leadership and supervision will ensure efficient and accurate administration of merchandise shipments and mail processing, exceeding customer expectations. You will be responsible for supervising a team of associates, providing guidance and support to maintain the highest level of customer service. This is a full-time non-exempt position that requires strong communication skills, leadership abilities, and experience in inventory management.
Job Specifications:
Job Type: Full-Time Non-Exempt
Location: Wilmington, NC
Pay Rate: $50,000/annually
Shift: 1 st Shift, 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday Must be available for nights, weekends, and holidays when required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Supervise and provide leadership to Inventory, MRE, Receiving/Distribution, and Mail room associates.
Ensure mail room duties are fulfilled in accordance with company and vendor requirements, U.S. Customs laws, and insurance policies.
Create a positive and professional environment that promotes the highest standards of business ethics and professionalism.
Motivate associates, coach them, and resolve conflicts to ensure they provide superior customer service.
Assist in supervising projects for team associates, anticipating and resolving potential problems to ensure efficient operation.
Review non-plu trade-ins and breakout merchandise for management approval.
Respond to store inquiries, research and identify untagged merchandise, and create transfer documents for distribution.
Follow security policies to protect merchandise and review merchandise for quality issues.
Collaborate with other corporate departments and stores to provide timely assistance and perform additional duties as directed by the Inventory Manager/Director.
Assist in year-end inventory reconciliation and coordinate physical inventories.
Supervise daily corporate bank deposits, pick-up and delivery of materials, and maintain adequate supplies.
Provide general maintenance at the corporate office and ensure mailroom facilities are clean and hazard-free.
Assist in daily management of inventory and supervise Inventory, Memo, and Costing Associates.
Provide on-call store support as required and collaborate with Internal Auditors on investigations and compliance audits.
Work with programmers to identify and correct software deficiencies and suggest necessary additions and changes for efficiency.
Track inventory shipments and resolve daily errors from store POS transactions.
Ensure company assets are handled in accordance with policies and procedures.
Answer telephones in a professional manner and conduct business affairs ethically and legally.
Qualifications & Skills:
Associate's Degree or higher recommended.
Willingness to travel overnight, including some weekends.
Proven written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated leadership, supervision, and teamwork abilities.
Experience in inventory, purchasing, distribution, and computer systems.
Ability to stand up to 90% of the day and lift up to 50 lbs.
Proficiency in performing light housekeeping duties and repetitive physical tasks.
