We are looking for a Lead Video Editor to join our team!

In this role as the Lead Video Editor, you will be responsible for conceptualizing and crafting compelling video content for the diverse range of brands within our portfolio, such as Match, OkCupid, Hinge, Chispa, Upward, and BLK, among others. Your expertise will shine in an environment that values autonomy, where you will take complete ownership of your projects.

Your ability to interpret high-level requirements and translate them into visually stunning and functional video designs will set you apart. Adapting to various design scenarios, including art direction, creative brainstorming, critiques, graphic design, and production tasks, will be crucial to your success in this role.

We're seeking an individual with a genuine passion for digital media, someone who stays attuned to the latest trends in culture, design, and technology. As a leader, you'll challenge conventional norms and actively contribute to shaping the creative landscape. Your curiosity extends to staying active on popular and emerging platforms like TikTok, Snapchat, YouTube, and others, ensuring that our video content remains relevant and engaging.

How you’ll make an impact:

You will collaborate seamlessly with a dynamic team of creatives, to transform visual concepts into captivating video content, guiding the process from inception to the final cut. Embrace an iterative approach, incorporating feedback from team members and partners to refine and enhance the visual narrative. You will take the Match Group brands to new heights by crafting premium video designs that not only align with established brand guidelines but also have the potential to set new standards. Propose innovative design directions, challenging the status quo and suggesting fresh editing perspectives to elevate our visual storytelling. You will engage closely with marketing management teams in brainstorming sessions, actively contributing to the development of groundbreaking creative concepts. Drive the evolution of our video content by infusing it with imaginative ideas and styles that resonate with our audience(s). You will demonstrate a keen ability to troubleshoot and resolve design challenges promptly, ensuring a seamless and effective creative process. Your problem-solving skills will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standard of our video output.


We could be a match if:

You have exceptional visual design skills which are evident through a robust online portfolio that prominently features a diverse array of video creations. Specializing in video editing, your portfolio showcases your proficiency and creativity in bringing visual concepts to life. You are proficient in using industry-standard design tools and software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other similar platforms. Your expertise in video editing and compression software such as Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Rush, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Media Encoder, and open-source software like CapCut is a valuable asset that you must have mastery over. Being attuned to current design trends and emerging social platforms, you bring a contemporary and engaging perspective to your work. Your ability to transform abstract ideas into polished video content, independently and without explicit guidance, sets you apart as a self-driven and versatile video editor. Your eagle eye for detail is evident in the precision with which you craft designs, ensuring a level of quality that meets the highest standards. Strong organizational and time management skills enable you to deliver consistently excellent work within set timelines. Communication is one of your strengths, and you welcome constructive external feedback on your edits. As a team player, you thrive in collaborative environments, contributing your skills and expertise to enhance the overall creative output of the team. You have 3+ years of industry-related experience in video editing You have experience in footage selection: reviewing and selecting the best shots or scenes from raw footage. You have experience in audio editing: editing and optimizing audio elements, including adding music, and sound effects, and ensuring clear and balanced audio levels. You have experience in motion graphics: integrating motion graphics, titles, and other graphic elements to enhance the visual appeal of a video. You have demonstrated experience with direct-response marketing and designs


Bonus Points:

Proficient in project management software, particularly Jira Understanding or curiosity about the unique and diverse communities we serve, including but not limited to Asian, Black, LGBTQIA+, Latino, Christian, and more.

$85,000 - $98,000 a year

Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of Los Angeles, CA. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
