We are seeking a talented Staff Accountant to join our team. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for assisting the CFO with maintaining accurate financial records and contributing to the overall financial success of the business. In this role, you will perform general accounting tasks daily including reconciling, journal entries, and other analysis.
Job Responsibilities: - Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts.
- Assist with Fixed Asset accounting, new asset ads, deletions and depreciation schedules.
- Running multiple reports and dashboards from salesforce; obtaining knowledge of all fields used to ensure this system is sending reliable information to our accounting system.
- Proactively analyze and investigate discrepancies, taking necessary actions to resolve issues or escalating them as needed.
- Prepare budgets and forecasts for assigned locations.
- Serve as a liaison and communicates with team members assisting with questions.
- Perform ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of related experience
- Prior experience with balance sheets and profit and loss statements
- Technical knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Intermediate to Advance Excel skills
- Strong organizations skills, detail orientated and collaborative.
