Responsibilities

Join our Southwest Healthcare System team of Postpartum (Nursery and Couplet Care) Professionals! 

The RN New Graduate Postpartum program will begin March 18, 2024, and interviews will be held mid-February 2024 .

The position is Night shift only and require a full-time commitment for two (2) years within Southwest Healthcare , one (1) year commitment to the department .  

Please be sure to include your RN License # or NCLEX Test Date on your resume.  NCLEX date must be prior to February 29, 2024, to be considered for an interview if RN license has not been issued.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Staff Post Partum Registered Nurses are responsible for providing excellence in patient care, collaborative and comprehensive care based on patient and/or family needs, providing assessments, treatment and care on assigned units. Staff Registered Nurses will also practice in accordance with all regulatory, professional, legal and hospital policies as well as consistently demonstrate behaviors that model the SW Core Values and the hospitals mission statement.

Effective written and verbal communication skills in the English language.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area (BSP), circumference and volume. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS

RN’s with less than one-year experience must complete a 12 - 14 week preceptorship program.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

High School graduate or equivalent preferred.

Completion of an accredited Registered Nursing program.

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

California RN license.

NRP Successful completion of the AAP and AHA advanced NRP course.
