Job description
Riverview is a community and regional favorite. We maintain a safe, clean and maintained environment. We are looking for hosts who are able to commit to working shifts when we are open for service. Reliability is a must. We are currently open Weds-Sat 4:30-10pm. Host normal hours would be 4.30pm to 9 pm daily.
Our hosts are the face of our business which is a casual & upscale restaurant, bar and function center serving high quality, house-made seasonal food and memorable guest experiences. We are looking for someone to join our team, working under the direction of the management team, who likes people and has good attention to detail, knows how to operate an Ipad and likes being busy. You must be reliable, well groomed, friendly and be able to provide responsive service to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests on entry and departure.
Primary Responsibilities:
o Warmly and politely greet all guests on arrival and thank them on their departure.
o Open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant when possible.
o Provide guests with menus and inform them of their server's name upon seating.
o Manage & confirm reservations using our reservation system on our dedicated Ipad
o Assign guests to tables suitable for their needs & so servers receive an appropriate number of tables.
o Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, handle or escalate complaints
o Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup. Assist service staff with preparing and clearing tables as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o greet our guests on arrival, and thank them on departure
o work with servers to seat guests at table
o Ensure host stand and entry area is presentable and ready for guests at all time
o check guests in and out using our booking system
o check phone for bookings and respond to guest calls
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS:
o At least 16 years old
o polite and calm under pressure
o Able to work in a standing position
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: 17 per hour.
