Pay Rate: $61.75 - $65
Primary Function of the Position
The Training Specialist is responsible for designing and conducting training programs to enhance the skills and competencies of employees within the organization. Reporting to the Senior Manager of GBS Training, this role assesses training needs, develops curriculum, and delivers training sessions spanning a variety of topics, with a primary focus on overseeing IT key business applications and Continuous Improvement methodologies training.

Identify training needs by conducting thorough evaluations of employee strengths and weaknesses.
Apply an iterative approach towards existing training so that the changing training needs requirements are addressed.
Lead and oversee the development/ production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids, and manuals to support training initiatives.
Direct structured learning experiences and monitor the quality of training interventions to ensure optimal results.
Analyze, iterate and deliver monthly IT Key tools trainings on IT collaboration tools (Zoom, Okta, System Account Management, HR Help Now, Archibus Desk Reservation system, Box cloud storage) to acclimate all client new hires to the business and facilitate their seamless integration into the organization.
Ability to work closely with key stakeholders (Continuous Improvement and IT Collaboration Tools teams) to understand their training vision and objectives, and effectively translate their vision into comprehensive training programs that align with organizational goals and priorities.
Ability to translate a training vision into concrete success metrics by requesting and analyzing support data, enabling the effective evaluation of training effectiveness and the achievement of organizational objectives.
Deliver engaging and interactive training courses using a variety of methods, including in-person workshops, virtual sessions, and e-learning modules.
Assess the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments to ensure the incorporation of taught skills and techniques into employees' work behavior.
Periodically evaluate ongoing programs to ensure they reflect any changes in organizational processes, technologies, or policies.
Support the Training Operations lead with developing an annual training calendar
Stay abreast of new trends and tool to continuously enhance training initiatives.
Required Skills and Experience (Specific skills, knowledge, and experience that an individual must possess in order to successfully perform in job)
Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting, with a strong track record of success.
Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and learning principles, coupled with the ability to master the full training cycle.
Adequate knowledge of learning management software, common workplace business applications and proficiency in MS Office
Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods, tools, and techniques, including talent management and succession planning.
Sound decision-making and organizational skills, with the ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences effectively.
Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, HR, or a related field is required.

Continuous Improvement Methodologies (e.g Lean and Six Sigma, Plan, Do Check, Act, Kaizen etc.)
Software Proficiency:
Required: Articulate Storyline and Rise (or equivalent eLearning tool). MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). MS Teams, SharePoint, or an equivalent collaboration tool. Smartsheet or an equivalent project management tool.
Preferred: Camtasia. Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere)

Preferred Skills and Experience (As applicable - Specific skills, knowledge, and experience that are not required to perform the job, but are desirable to have)
Experience in training program development and management.
Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles.
Experience with e-learning authoring tools and multimedia content creation.
Familiarity with project management principles and tools.
Participation in relevant industry conferences and professional development activities.
