FORT MASON CENTER FOR ARTS & CULTURE (FMCAC)
FMCAC is a unique community destination, hosting arts and cultural events, organizations, and programs in historic buildings and piers along San Francisco’s northern waterfront. In operation since 1977, the nonprofit FMCAC is an extraordinary example of repurposing former military land and buildings for contemporary uses, including museums, performance spaces, and a vibrant schedule of art and cultural exhibitions and events.

Located just inside San Francisco Bay, FMCAC is part of the National Park Service’s Golden Gate National Recreation Area. The campus is located on a highly desirable, 13-acre waterfront site that is open to the public and offers unparalleled views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and Angel Island. More than 1.5 million people visit FMCAC annually. FMCAC is located in the San Francisco Port Of Embarkation National Historic Landmark District.


EVENT MANAGER

Department: Event Management

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

FSLA Status: Exempt



OVERVIEW:

The Event Management Department is responsible for the coordination and management of a unique range of events, conferences, and meetings on the Fort Mason Center campus. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Event Manager is responsible for managing all client-related logistics in assigned venues, which may include any of the following: Gateway Pavilion, Festival Pavilion, Gallery 308, Storehouse, Firehouse, Meeting Rooms, and/or the General’s Residence.

The Event Manager is a full-time salaried position that is expected to work a regular schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The specific schedule will change to reflect operational necessity. Nights and weekends will be required.

ABOUT OUR EVENTS & VENUES:
Fort Mason Center has 11 different event venues ranging in size from 500 to 60,000 square feet including piers, warehouses, a theater, and unique historical sites. Our venues feature showstopping views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, and the San Francisco Bay. We host a variety of different types of events including art fairs, exhibitions, performances, conferences, fundraisers, weddings, social events, and more.
