Job description
The Physician Assistant Intern will provide psychiatric services through the comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in all treatment areas. The physician assistant intern will serve as a member of an interdisciplinary team providing behavioral health services to a variety of populations.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Per program description and in partnership with your university, this internship may include duties of cognitive behavioral therapies in addition to social services. Specific details of the experience will be developed by Rogers in collaboration with your university and may include the following:
Provide information to patients about current and potential health problems, the treatment plan, self-care, and prevention to achieve independence and maximum wellness
Provide medication management services to patients
Coordinates with interdisciplinary team for patient treatment plans
Initiate and update treatment plan and documentation as required

Education/Training Requirements:
Must be enrolled in a Masters of Physician Assistant Studies program.
Successful completion of all Rogers onboarding training coursework is required prior to start.
Formal training in the management of the aggressive patient (NCI) is required within sixty (60) days of date of placement. Annual re-certification is required and will be provided.
Successful completion of pre-placement background checks through the Rogers system are required.
Successful occupational health clearance from your provider is required.
