Starting Gate Driver

Job description

Responsibilities:
•Responsible for driving the starting gate truck at the start of races in a manner that is consistent with the requirements needed to provide a good and fair start for each race
•Responsible for cleaning gates as needed; inside and out
•Responsible for keeping the vehicles fueled and the oil changed
•Responsible for assisting as needed in the event of a racing accident

Qualifications:
•Must have a valid driver's license
•Must have excellent depth, and distance perception
•Must be able to steer the vehicle properly
•Must be able to work closely with the starter
•Must be able to work weekend and holidays
•Must be able to work in summer weather conditions
