BAE Systems is one of the world's largest defense contractors and Fortune 500 Company, This intern will be working full time (40 hours / week) onsite at our Holston Army Ammunition Plant in Kingsport, TN for Spring through Summer 2024 (Targeting March - August), Relocation will be offered, and housing is not provided. There will be a potential need to work overnights or weekends; this will be determined by the needs of the business and your manager.
As a Construction Management Intern, you will:
- Collaborate with the project team on the execution of multiple industrial construction projects
- Support Safety, Health, and Environmental compliance initiatives
- Assist with documentation
- Support customer and subcontractor meetings
- Verify construction completion status
- Document field activities
- Data entry and processing
- Adhere to Security requirements
- Monitor active construction sites
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related fields
- Minimum 2 year of schooling completed towards degree
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings (CAD drawings, etc.)
- Comfortable working in construction/production environments
- Self-starting and quick learning abilities
- Employ time management skills
- Ability to communicate verbally to large groups often.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Public speaking
- Data Management
- Data Analysis
- Experience in other typical industrial construction work tasks such as mechanical, piping, electrical, civil, etc
- Ability to start spring and work through summer
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $35443 - $47861
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20+ hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
