Job description

Job Summary

The assistant acts as a customer service representative, interfacing with customers on delivery. Assistant also prepares newspapers for delivery by inserting sections, labeling or strapping. Occasionally relieves press team by acting as supplemental member, stacking papers, etc. Experience in the print industry helpful but not required! We are always willing to train motivated individuals.

Pressroom – high noise, moving machinery. Area is subject to varying temperatures. Concrete floors.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs & ladders, reach, kneel & stoop, and be able to lift 50lbs. Must have high visual acuity with or without corrective lenses.

Work Schedule

Variable, 20-40 hours per week. Due to the nature of this position, hours will vary in order to accomplish the required tasks and may require coming in early, staying late, or (rarely) working weekends. It is critical that the person in this position be reliable/have reliable transportation.
