The Synopsys Information Security team helps organizations transform and securely build what's next for the business. We are on the lookout for a Principal Cloud Security Engineer with a deep focus on engineering, AI, automation, and big data. This role demands extensive hands-on experience in various Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies, securing native cloud applications (especially containerized apps), and integration with CI/CD pipelines. The ideal candidate will be a cloud security expert, adept at designing and creating custom software solutions to integrate data from diverse sources, including multiple cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP), CSPM/CWPP tools, various scanning tools, and enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineer and implement advanced cloud security architectures and strategies with a strong emphasis on automation and AI.
- Secure containerized applications and manage secure host and container images in cloud environments.
- Integrate security practices into CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and deployment.
- Design and develop custom software solutions for data integration from various sources.
- Design and implement big data platform, including data ingestion, storage, and processing.
- Analyze big data to generate insightful reports for decision-making, leveraging AI to enhance analytics and process efficiency.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to embed security into the development lifecycle and cloud infrastructure.
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats, technologies, and trends in cloud computing, AI, and big data.
- Participate in and assist with incident response activities and forensic investigations when required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in cloud security at a principal or senior principal level, with a focus on AI, automation, and big data.
- Profound knowledge and hands-on experience in IaC, securing cloud-native applications, and CI/CD integration.
- Experience in designing and managing big data platforms and solutions.
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), security frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in programming and scripting languages relevant to cloud security and data processing.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to create data-driven reports and insights.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and collaborative abilities.
The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $130,000-$227,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
