MEDICAL TECHNICIAN (MED TECH)

We are looking for:

• Someone with a “can do” attitude
• Someone who enjoys caring for others
• Someone with reliable transportation and a dependable work ethic
• Reading, writing, and basic math and verbal communication skills
• The ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• At least 18 years of age
• High School Diploma or equivalent

Med Techs are expected to accomplish tasks outside of their normal assignments whenever necessary to maintain a quality care environment for our residents. As part of a team-oriented workplace, Med Techs participate in training opportunities and offer help to other areas and staff in need. The typical work of a Med Tech can include:

• Build and maintain close relationships with residents
• Presents medication to residents and observes ingestion or other application
• Administers prescribed medication and maintains related records under the supervision of a licensed nurse
• Gives direct care to residents, such as bathing, grooming and dressing
• Assist in recording temperature, blood pressure, pulse respiration rates, food and fluid intake and output, as directed
• Assist residents with meals and snacks
• Assist with setup, service and feeding if necessary
• Housekeeping duties as necessary
• Keeps workspaces and supplies organized and ready for service

Requirements:

• Current MA license in applicable state as well as CPR certification
