Job description

Im recruiting for a client who has need for a fulltime Senior Network Administrator . This is an ONSITE role 5 days a week with the occasional weekend work and the possibility of taking support calls at night as needed. They are based just inside the Atlanta 285 perimeter off 85. Standard office hours of 85pm give or take. You would be working as part of a threeperson team in support of the companys network.

They are ideally looking to groom the person in this role to take more of a leadership role (Director) in 45 years so they are looking for someone who has leadership qualities and aspirations to advance in their career. All of the companys technology is onsite they dont work in the Cloud. They are looking for a technicallysavvy "gogetter" and not something that is looking just to do the bare minimum and work in the background.

The Senior Network Administrator works with the Director of I.S to oversee of the company s Windowsbased IT infrastructure network and production operations including monitoring network infrastructure and resolving system issues. Helps to evaluate and recommend potential hardware software and other network assets acquisitions. Helps oversees data center operators and technicians. Ultimately to ensure that IT systems are secure consistent reliable and compliant with industry standards and security frameworks. ESSENTIAL

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage company network architecture including network segmenting and security controls
• Install configure maintain and monitor servers workstations operating systems software email and internet configuration and connectivity in a Windows platform environment Verifies all related components are operating correctly.
• Assist to create implement and maintain secure network configurations which comply with industry security standards and certifications (HITRUST PCIDSS SOC 2 etc.)
• Maintain and optimize company networks and servers
• Responsible for device and password management
• Oversee data backup and system security operations (e.g. user authorization firewalls)
• Assess system performance and recommend improvements
• Resolve issues escalated by technicians users and clients.
• Interface with and assist clients with establishing a data connection to the company FTP site and transmitting data files
• Ensure data is handled secured transferred and processed according to legal company and industry security guidelines
• Maintain system security in accordance with company defined security posture
• Provide support and guidance to stakeholders
• Manage inventory or company IT hardware and software
• Manage contracts with vendors (e.g. development platforms telecommunication companies password managers) and software licenses
• Develop IT policies and practices
• Actively participates as a member of the company Compliance Oversight Committee
• Collect evidence for and actively participates in periodic security audits including SOC1 SOC2 SOC3 IRS Office of Safeguards HITRUST PCIDSS etc.
• Perform general administrative duties including filing scanning recordkeeping and data entry.
• Assists with other projects as assigned.
• Respond to critical network alerts outside of regular working hours.

Requirements

Because of the nature of their business and some of their work is with the State of Georgia you must have a clean background to be considered for this job. You dont have to have a "perfect" background but any significant arrests (or felonies) in your background would disqualify you. You will be given a very indepth background check before an offer is extended.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Indepth expertise in the configuration and management of Microsoft Windows Server Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange.
• Experience with installation configuration and troubleshooting networking hardware including switches routers and firewalls
• Knowledge of server virtualization and/o experience with VMware

• Knowledge and experience with network architecture and Active Directory and Group Policy
• Familiarity with installation debugging and replacement of currentgeneration server hardware and storage area networks.
• Familiarity with concepts of data management remote backup data replication and disaster recovery planning.
• Knowledge regarding wire and network cable installation throughout the enterprise and connecting required wiring and cables to equipment telecommunications and power supply safely and accurately.

• Outstanding English communication skills
• Knowledge of data privacy and security frameworks and controls
• Strong experience in identification and remediation of system/network vulnerabilities.
• Experience with major data privacy and security frameworks and controls Exhibit foresight in recognizing potential problems and capable of developing solutions.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor s degree in Information Systems or a related field required or equivalent combination of 35 years training and experience LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Fluent in English.
• Knowledge or fluency in VB VB Net PowerShell DOS command Cisco IOS language preferred
• Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures or governmental regulations.
• Ability to write professional memos reports letters emails general business correspondence and develop procedure manuals flowcharts and diagrams.
• Microsoft TSQL Query language.

AVAILABILITY:

Position requires weekend and after hours support (both onsite and off) as necessary to support maintenance and system patching functions.
