Position Overview: As a Financial Analyst with expertise in DoD or federal government financial practices, you will play a critical role in budgeting, financial planning, and analysis. This position requires a deep understanding of the PPBE process, attention to detail, and the ability to provide valuable insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. PPBE Process:

   • Apply comprehensive knowledge of the Program, Planning, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process in the federal government.
   • Contribute to the development and execution of budgetary plans.

2. Financial Analysis:

   • Conduct financial analysis to support budgeting and resource allocation decisions.
   • Analyze financial data, trends, and performance metrics.

3. Budget Development:

   • Assist in the preparation, formulation, and justification of budget submissions.
   • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather budgetary requirements.

4. Financial Reporting:

   • Prepare regular financial reports and variance analyses.
   • Communicate financial results and provide insights to leadership.

5. Forecasting and Planning:

   • Support long-term financial planning and forecasting activities.
   • Provide input on financial implications of strategic initiatives.

6. Compliance and Regulations:

   • Ensure compliance with federal financial regulations and guidelines.
   • Stay updated on changes in government financial policies.

7. Risk Management:

   • Identify and assess financial risks.
   • Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks and uncertainties.

8. Collaboration:

   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, accountants, and procurement specialists.
   • Provide financial expertise to support program success.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst with a focus on DoD or federal government financial processes.
• In-depth understanding of the PPBE process.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of federal financial regulations and compliance.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Effective communication and presentation skills.
