MS-IL Staffing & Packaging and its local client are NOW HIRING for the below opening in the Indianapolis, Indiana, area!

Position: Temporary Accountant

Shift: 1st, 8AM - 4:30PM, Monday to Friday

Location: Indianapolis / PARK100

We are currently looking for a Temporary Accountant to support our client's finance team during a busy period. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with various accounting tasks such as preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and providing support for month-end close activities.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist with daily accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
• Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Assist in the preparation of financial reports and analysis.
• Support the finance team with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting-related issues.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support as required.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Prior experience in accounting or finance roles preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA is a plus.
