Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
- Prepare and analyze accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct budget vs. actual comparisons and provide comprehensive reports to executives.
- Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic financial insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads and executive team members to develop and manage annual budgets.
- Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and forecast future financial performance.
Cash Management:
- Oversee cash flow management, including daily cash balance monitoring and future cash needs forecasting.
- Implement strategies to optimize cash flow and liquidity.
- Maintain relationships with financial institutions and manage banking activities.
Financial Controls:
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
- Conduct regular audits to assess compliance with policies and procedures.
- Streamline processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
Tax Compliance:
- Coordinate with external tax advisors to ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
- Accurately prepare and file tax returns in a timely manner.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that may impact the company.
Risk Management:
- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor insurance coverage and assess the adequacy of risk management practices.
- Implement procedures to protect the company against fraud and unauthorized activities.
ERP and System Updates:
- Oversee the use and maintenance of the Infor Visual ERP system to ensure optimal performance and integration with financial operations.
- Lead the annual external audit process, coordinating with auditors and ensuring the timely and accurate completion of audit requirements.
- Coordinate the updating and upgrading of financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.
- Proven experience in a financial management role, preferably as an Accounting Manager.
- Thorough understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards (GAAP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; experience with Infor Visual ERP or other manufacturing ERP is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively.
