This centralized role will be responsible for building superior integrated media capabilities for the Mars Petcare portfolio of brands, leading Mars Petcare integrated media planning and execution across a variety of national & retail media partners, all with a focus on driving overall growth for the enterprise. Furthermore, this role will be responsible for building industry leading reporting capabilities, at a monthly & quarterly cadence, while driving visibility into the dollars we spend in support of our brands.
What are we looking for?
- 7+ years’ experience with media (strategy, partners, tactics, etc.), leading shopper/retail & performance media.
- Proven large-scale, full-funnel media management track record with demonstrated results.
- The knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program in a related field, or equivalent work experience. Master’s degree a plus.
- Experience partnering directly with brand marketers, agencies, and vendor partners to advance media initiatives.
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
What will be your key responsibilities?
- Lead integrated planning agenda across sales & marketing, inclusive of driving the annual One-Demand media briefing process, while providing direction & guidance to the brand teams.
- Lead, in partnership with the Ecomm & Retail teams + the Sr. Manager, Media Strategy and Operations, the IBE (Integrated Brand Experience) workstream, with the goal of supporting all top tier IBEs from a national media perspective.
- Partner with agency to report on media performance at a quarterly basis leveraging data to drive actionable insights & recommendations, with the goal of gauging learning agenda progress, while helping the brand teams and marketing directors understand performance and recommended actions.
- Lead monthly performance reports, in partnership with a day-to-day lead, to Associate Director and brand teams, communicating overall progress, and highlighting priority initiatives.
- Support and partner with D-Comm team, and the Sales/Shopper teams to strategically develop and manage RMN (Retail Media Network) media investment, through careful iterative hypotheses, testing, executing & evaluating to further best practices in the space.
- Partner with internal & external retail media partners to develop cross-organizational search strategy, while mitigating overlap across our respective media activations.
- Oversee media agency, inclusive of 50+ media experts across disciplines, while leading the agency performance, staffing plan & bonus structure workstreams.
- Partner with Associate Director, Media to represent US Petcare interests within strategic global workstreams such as JBPs (Joint Business Partnerships), with the goal of maximizing the added value we receive from our largest partners (Amazon, Google, Meta, TikTok, etc).
- Develop QBR meeting timeline(s) & agenda(s) for top media partners, maximizing face time & value across each partnership. (Yahoo, Amazon, Google, Meta, TikTok, etc).
- Craft strategies and tests to gather learnings against emerging media trends, while pushing innovation agenda with our strategic media partners (ex. Yahoo, Google, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, iHeart, Spotify, etc.)
- Partner with MI&E (Media Insights & Effectiveness) team to develop annual Test & Learn media strategy, driving clarity around areas of opportunity, with a specific focus on innovation.
