Job description
To establish our Traffic Engineer Project Manager role we seek a dynamic individual with an entrepreneurial spirit ready to pioneer our Traffic Engineering department. This candidate should possess robust relationships with California clients and key contacts within local government agencies such as CalTrans County and Cities. Experience in managing trafficrelated projects ensuring timely completion within budget quality assurance./quality control (QA/QC) and effective client management are essential. The ideal candidate will be a wellrounded Traffic Engineer capable of establishing a strong traffic presence in California aligning with our passion for land d evelopment and company culture.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the client and division manager for trafficrelated services
- Leverage key relationships to facilitate regional growth through crossselling services
- Market Traffic Engineering services and support transportation team business development in the southern CA regional market
- Provide training and mentorship to staff in traffic engineeringrelated services such as studies design and operational analysis
- Supervise and direct the work of EITs PEs and Technicians as needed on trafficrelated projects
- Coordinate and collaborate with other traffic engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California
- Expertise in Scoping Agreements Transportation Demand Management (TDM) Traffic Impact Analysis (TIA) and Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) analysis
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in project design plan development and traffic analysis
- Strong technical knowledge of traffic engineering principles and practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Established client and partner relationships in the California market
- Ability to mentor other traffic engineers
- Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification or the ability to obtain one within 1 year
