About the Role
Walmart’s Global Security, Aviation, and Investigations organization is looking for a Senior Manager of Open-Source Analytics to join the IROCC (Investigative Risk and Operational Compliance Center), the analytics center of excellence for Global Governance. This position supports investigations, security, and threat management functions by producing threat assessments, situational reports, travel risk reports, and similar deliverables. The role also evaluates requirements for threat monitoring against open source and other reporting streams to identify emerging risks and assess active risks.
Open-source analysts operate with Walmart’s ethical guidelines and investigative research framework. They work on high-visibility reports, collaborate directly with case teams, and are trusted with confidential information.
You’ll make an impact by:
Produce compelling written assessments and reports: Develop detailed, cohesive, and insightful reports that capture relevant open-source information and provide insights related to specific events, subjects, or assets.
Respond and act: Provide real time analysis and fact finding in support of critical incident response activities; d evelop flexible, tailored reporting that meets internal client objectives with the prioritization of life safety.
Leverage tools and technologies: Work within multiple platforms and technologies concurrently to identity and track information; apply knowledge of privacy configurations and settings; preserve and collect key findings for case records; provide feedback on emerging technologies that could add value to our work.
Build trusted relationships: Develop stakeholder relationships internally and externally; create and maintain a collaborative environment which thrives on feedback, lessons learned, and exchanges of ideas and experiences.
Operating with excellence : Ensure outputs are accurate, timely, and meet standards of our program; anticipate and plan for ongoing improvement in performance, efficiency, and grow subject matter expertise.

You have expertise in social media platforms and tools like Voyager, Ontic, Dataminr
You have experience using open-source data to identify security threats
You have expertise in threat, crime, and societal violence analysis
You have experience in executive protection or travel security
You have a professional understanding of risk spotting and mitigation tactics
You are comfortable with critical decision making in uncertain situations
You are an effective and clear communicator
