Engineering Project Specialists play a critical role in electrical hardware new product development by managing material procurement. In this role, you will be responsible for materials readiness, availability, and visibility. You will also be responsible for processing engineering change orders (ECOs) and related PCBA BOM management activities in Agile or other product lifecycle management (PLM) tool. We are seeking a team player who is highly organized, able to prioritize issues, and track details to manage the risks associated with early manufacturing builds!

Key Qualifications

Description

Responsible for on time material readiness for engineering development builds of EE hardware. This position works closely with key cross-functional teams from Engineering Program Management, Electrical Engineering, Component Engineering, Product Design, Procurement, Operations, Finance, Suppliers and Contract Manufacturers to ensure we have efficient process and clear visibility on our procurement strategy. Your successful ability to partner with OEMs and the sourcing team on material strategy will directly impact build success. Responsibilities include:  Clear to Build (CTB) management: providing visibility to materials supply, highlighting potential risks and mitigations for all PCBA level builds; Troubleshooting material challenges to achieve CTB Leading contract manufacturing (CM) materials team to drive factory data and accuracy, and process   Presenting regular updates to cross-functionals and leadership regarding material availability and escalations when needed Creating/processing NPI related ECO’s and sustaining ECO’s that affect part changes throughout the lifecycle of the products Generating purchase requisitions, communicating with contract manufacturing finance teams, and conducting invoice review Supervising material shipping logistics for new product development builds, identifying risks and mitigations Executing multiple project timelines related to supplier on-time delivery performance throughout the development cycle Collecting, receiving and distributing incoming shipments from the office mail room, shipping warehouse, secure logistics warehouse, and from deliveries directly from vendors at the office. Education & Experience

BA/BS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations or Business, and 6+ years of industry experience
