Senior Food Technologist

Create delicious and nutritious food products with one of the world’s leading taste teams. Collaborate with cross-functional technical experts, Sales, Marketing, and Business Development to support customers in developing products that delight consumers. Deliver taste solutions to drive performance across a range of savory segments, with a focus on meat applications.

Your key responsibilities
• Create food product formulations, including meat applications, that exceed customer expectations from design to scale-up
• Develop applications that demonstrate the breadth and value of the dsm-firmenich portfolio of flavors and ingredients
• Collaborate with customers via interactive hands-on benchtop working sessions
• Establish technical-to-technical connections with key customers including foodservice chains and meat processors
• Manage cross-functional projects for the development of products and application of flavors
• Partner with Chefs and Flavorists and other Food Technologists to evaluate and explore dsm-firmenich flavors and ingredients in order to find solutions for our customer needs

You bring
• Batchelor of Science in Food Science, Food Process Engineering or related relevant field.
• Equivalent of 5 years’ experience in the food industry; experience in meat applications a plus.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of ingredient functionality, food formulation, food process unit operations, and end-user foodservice operations; knowledge of meat processing a plus
• Ability to travel up to 40% to customers across North America
• Ability to work in kitchens, labs, and pilot plant environments
• Knowledge and practice of GMPs and other FSMA requirements in kitchens, labs, and pilot plant. ServeSafe certified is a plus
