About the Role:
In this pivotal role as Senior Tax Manager, you will engage with a diverse range of clients including high net worth individuals, owner-managed businesses, and investment firms.
The position demands a proactive approach in managing tax-related forms for clients across various industries, ensuring compliance, and offering strategic advice on tax best practices and emerging issues to executive leadership and clients.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Engage with tax authorities on audits and appeals.
- Oversee the preparation and review of personal and corporate tax returns, along with various election forms and other tax-related information forms.
- Devise and execute strategies to leverage business opportunities for clients.
- Uphold and advocate for stringent quality and risk controls in the Tax service line.
- Conduct thorough research on tax issues, documenting findings in detailed tax memos or client communications.
- Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality, timely, and responsive services.
- Address complex tax matters in discussions with the engagement team and client management.
- Stay current with tax developments, applying this knowledge effectively to client scenarios.
- Lead the development of practical and efficient approaches to clients’ tax situations.
- Identify and execute tax planning opportunities for clients.
- Work collaboratively with Tax Partners and senior staff on strategic tax planning, identifying and resolving tax risks and exposures.
- Maintain technical competence in tax matters, applying them in practical situations.
- Supervise the review of tax provisions and filings prepared by junior accountants.
- Coordinate the preparation and review of tax provisions and financial statement disclosures for cross-border operations.
- Undertake research and analysis to evaluate the impact of tax law changes on cross-border activities, providing proactive recommendations.
- Manage risk and financial performance of engagements, collaborating on new market opportunities and growth.
Requirements
Summary of Experience:
- At least 7 years of recent experience in public accounting.
- A minimum of 7 years specializing in tax consulting.
Requirements:
- Completion of the In-depth Tax Program or an MTax degree.
- Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
- Profound knowledge of tax legislation, corporate, personal, and trust tax planning and compliance.
- Leadership skills to manage a team, delegate tasks, and ensure timely deliverables.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- ?Proficiency in domestic tax compliance, tax reorganization, and experience with cross-border and international tax regulations.
