Atlantic Health System is seeking a full-time HIM Analyst to work at our Corporate location in Morristown for the day shift. 

Principal Accountabilities:

The HIM Analyst is tasked with the responsibility of validating, processing and sending copies of medical records for all Atlantic Health facilities, including Atlantic Medical Group, Primary Care Partners and Atlantic Health Partners. Is responsible for processing all releases in a timely and efficient many ensuring accuracy and providing customers with the highest quality product and customer service.

The HIM Analyst must have strong knowledge of release of information guidelines per State and Federal Laws. Upholds Security and Confidentiality guidelines for record access and review.

Observe all policies regarding the patient’s Right to Privacy, confidentiality of medical records and the legal interest of the hospital and medical staff.

• High school Diploma or GED required
• Associate degree in Health Information Technology or bachelor’s degree in health information management, or High School diploma with a minimum of 2 years of working in health-care.

Minimum Experience:

• 2-3 years of experience in a health-care setting working with electronic medical record systems. Preferred experience in release of information.
• HIM release of information experience, strong computer skills are mandatory

Licenses/Certifications:

• AHIMA credential is preferred.

More Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills, working knowledge of HIPAA
