WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AS OUR PLACEMENT SPECIALIST?

You will play a vital role in upholding agency policies and expectations while engaging program participants in our services. Cultivating strong relationships with employers and non-profits will be a key aspect of your role, as you will be responsible for generating ongoing volunteer and employment opportunities for our participants. Matching participants with Work Experience Program (WEP) assignments and employment opportunities will be a focus, taking into consideration their FCA, vocational evaluation, TANF work requirements/hours, and any need for accommodations. You will ensure the utilization of Interactive Voice Response (IVR) at all WEP sites and strive to help participants secure jobs that align with their interests and skills, aiming for a minimum of 30 hours per week. Conducting follow-up calls and visits with nonprofit partners and employers will be essential to ensure their satisfaction and address any concerns.

Collaborating with our Workforce Resource and Innovation (WRI) team, you will host hiring events that strategically match participants with employers seeking their specific skills and backgrounds. Tracking working participants and validating retention benchmarks will be important aspects of ensuring their success. Exceptional recordkeeping, including documentation of all communication and contact with participants, WEP sites, and employers, will be crucial.
