Terracotta, a thriving houseplant boutique and cafe in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking a dynamic and organized Retail Associate to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional customer experience while providing essential administrative support to our General Manager. Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service: Warmly greet customers and assist them in selecting products suitable for their specific environment, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Efficiently manage inventory: Receive new plant shipments and products, accurately price and creatively display them on the sales floor.
- Organize the stockroom: Collaborate in placing orders for back stock and maintain a tidy and well-organized stockroom to streamline operations.
- Enhance the store's appeal: Contribute to restocking inventory and creating captivating visual displays that showcase our unique products.
- Expertly repot customer purchases: Skillfully follow Terracotta's guidelines to repot plants, ensuring their long-term health and vitality.
- Seamlessly handle digital communication and workflow: Utilize computer programs such as Shopify (POS system), Slack (Communication), Monday (Workflow), and Google Workspace to enhance efficiency and effective communication.
- Promptly schedule deliveries and fulfill special orders: Efficiently manage orders to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean and inviting showroom: Tend to light housekeeping duties, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces, washing dishes, and removing trash.
- Stay agile during busy periods: Handle various tasks, such as answering phones, processing customer orders, and promptly restocking the sales floor.
- Skillfully receive new plant shipments: Unload and thoughtfully organize incoming shipments of plants and related products to maintain a well-structured stockroom.
- Accurately price plants and products: Ensure all items are appropriately priced for display and sale, contributing to a seamless customer experience.
- Precisely pack and fulfill orders: Prepare and package customer orders for shipping efficiently and accurately to deliver the highest quality service.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated retail sales experience or experience as a client service representative.
- Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening to ensure exceptional customer interaction.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and practices to efficiently manage customer relationships.
- Customer orientation and adaptability: Ability to respond effectively to different customer personalities and preferences.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to articulate plant care instructions and collaborate with team members and the General Manager.
- Multitasking and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort with using technology: Proficiency in Shopify, Slack, Monday, and Google Workspace to streamline communication and inventory management.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
