Job description
Overview: We are seeking a Data Engineering Lead to join our Data Team. This pivotal role involves steering our data management infrastructure and catering to the dynamic data requirements of our organization. The successful candidate will spearhead our data management strategy, including the development and implementation of our data architecture and analytics framework across the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve key performance indicators on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
- Inspire, guide, and develop a team of data engineering professionals.
- Spearhead organization-wide data projects.
- Engage in collaborative efforts with IT leaders, business units, partners, and suppliers from project inception through to completion, ensuring adherence to company standards.
- Keep abreast of technological advancements in the automotive repair sector and related fields.
Quality Assurance:
- Uphold and meet the company's values, goals, and quality standards.
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive data engineering strategy and blueprint for our data architecture and sophisticated analytics.
- Build and oversee the entire data pipeline lifecycle, from data intake and processing to its delivery.
- Initiate, design, and deploy new data models and pipelines into production.
- Manage the creation of data resources and assist in the deployment of new software solutions.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years od IT industry experience within data processing, warehousing, and management.
- 5+ years of working with enterprise data platforms.
- Advanced SQL Experience within relational or NoSQL Databases.
- 5+ years of experience in data design, implementation, and data stewardship
- Excellent decision-making and judgment capabilities.
- Proven experience with AWS
- Solutioning on AWS infrastructure (AWS S3, Lambda, EMR, RDS, Redshift or Snowflake)
- ETL Tooling experience (Talend Open Studio, Informatica, Pentaho, or similar technology)
- Proficiency in using computers, standard office equipment, and excellent communication skills in English.
- A deep understanding of data warehouse architectures and data management principles.
- Demonstrated ability to develop strategies and roadmaps in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Experience in team leadership and development.
