The pay range is: $117,437.00 - $153,900.00

JOB POSITION :        Senior Engineer

LOCATION :              7000 Target Parkway N, Brooklyn Park, MN 55445

DUTIES :                     Design and develop software products used for Target’s retail loyalty programs, including micro-service design patterns, messaging patterns, SQL & No-SQL databases, cloud technologies and high-level design concepts. Gain insight into the application architecture. Distill abstract architecture into concrete design and influence implementation. Apply the appropriate software engineering patterns to build robust and scalable systems. Use technology acumen to apply and maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies within specialized area of technology domain. Evaluate new technologies and participate in decision-making. Initiate and execute research and proof-of-concept activities for new services. Propose software designs, provide feedback on software designs, and implementation. Help team triage operational issues. Leverage expertise in eliminating repeat occurrences. Participate in routine and non-routine construction, automation, and implementation activities, ensuring successful implementation with architectural and operational requirements and best practices met. Provide technical oversight and mentorship to others. REQUIREMENTS :  This position requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and at least three (3) years of experience in application development (any title) analyzing complex user requirements, designing and implementing software applications and packages, reviewing and modifying programs for technical accuracy, deploying code in production and test environments, designing database entities, and using Spring Boot, Docker, Java, J2EE, microservices, Kubernetes, Google Cloud, Mockito, VisualVM, JProfiler, and REST Web Services. May telecommute from any location in the U.S.
