Overview
The Hasson lab in the Princeton Neuroscience Institute has an opportunity available for a research assistant. The Hasson lab is part of an exciting and growing trend in neuroscience that studies the neural activity that drives human behavior under natural and realistic conditions. Among other things, the candidate will work with ECoG data and machine learning algorithms on one of our flagship projects.
Ideal candidates should be highly motivated, driven, and work well in a team. Candidates with a strong background and in Computer Science, electrical engineering, physics, statistics, neuroscience, linguistics, or math, and who have experience in programing, software engineering, signal detection, and machine learning are highly encouraged to apply.
This is a one-year term position with the possibility of extension based upon satisfactory performance and continued funding.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting existing code-base. Applying existing analysis tools on current unique dataset of family life
- Preprocessing new data
- Analyzing datasets. Implementing deep conversation models on datasets. Implementing deep image models on datasets
- Developing new deep models for analyzing data
- Maintaining the analysis pipeline currently in develpment
- Using deep language models to encode and decode neural responses
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree plus >3 years of experience in Neuroscience, Psychology, Neurobiology, computer Science, Linguistics or related field.
Demonstrated experience in programing (Matlab,Python), software engineering, signal detection, and machine learning.
Ideal candidates should be highly motivated, driven, and work well in a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with research in the field of Computational Neuroscience, AI and Machine Learning Models.
